Available Mini Aussies
The Miniature Australian Shepherds on this page are currently available for adoption in Dallas/Fort Worth and the surrounding areas. If you reside in this area and are interested in giving one of these dogs a forever home, please review our Adoption Process prior to filling out an Adoption Application listed on the Forms page then email it to . The Adoption Process explains each step of the process, requirements, needed information from applicants, the adoption fee along with how to download the Adoption Application. Reading the Adoption Process and submitting an adoption application is required in order to start the adoption process.
Adoptions are not on a first come first serve basis as our main goal is to match the Mini Aussies we've rescued with a forever family that is best suited to each dog’s individual personality and needs ensuring a lifetime of love for both the dog and the adopter.
Please keep in mind when inquiring about adopting a Mini Aussie that TMAR does not ship dogs to people sight unseen, adopt dogs out of state or in areas lacking TMAR approved volunteers and representatives. Once approved for adoption and if a good match is found, potential adopters including all members of the household and their current dogs (if any) are required to come to meet the adoptable dog of interest in person before deciding whether or not to adopt. This is not only in the best interest of the dogs but for the adopters as well, and we appreciate your consideration and understanding on this matter.
Although we do our best to work with our adoptable Mini Aussies on correcting undesirable behaviors and learning a few basic commands, our dogs are not obedience trained nor do we present them as such, and we strongly urge our adopters to enroll in a training class within the first month of adoption. This will help to shape the behaviors that are important to you and your lifestyle and to encourage your adopted Mini Aussie to be the dog you want them to be.
